At a recent networking meeting, I was interested to observe the pride with which people described themselves as an ‘Entrepreneur’ or ‘Local businessman’. These terms convey an image of success, wealth, responsibility, knowledge, guts… someone to be looked up to who is valued and well thought of in the community. There’s a lot of pride to be taken from starting up on your own, and anything that makes you feel good about yourself is no bad thing.

Late Payments

Late Payments

The Federation of Small Businesses has very interesting reading about late payments and within the UK are running a campaign with recommendations to government. They state that the ‘Reduction in profitability and delayed payment of suppliers are the biggest business impacts of late payment’ which shows that not only one company’s cash flow is affected but the subsequent supply chain.
